Leaf filter does not work. It causes more problems than it solves.

The Costco filter is also a micro mesh but the micro mesh it’s much wider and therefore will allow more water entry into gutters.

I’m retired from an exterior maintenance business in Virginia. Every single gutter guard fails. Even the “good” ones fail and always at the roof valleys. There is no way that these valleys can clear debris and therefore once debris accumulates water pours over the gutters. Leaffilter is a pretty good system, however, it is enormously over priced. I always recommended to customers that they always just clean their gutters twice a year if they had roof valleys. I have gutter guards on my house from Costco that are made by GutterGlove and they work 100% of the time, but I only have straight runs of gutters with no valleys. I think I paid $2 per running foot and they’ve been on for 5 years and still look like new.

not just pine needles but also pollen build up will have you going up on the latter for cleaning so USELESS!

Exactly what you can expect except they don’t show the granules that gradually come off the shingles building up on the screen shelf also. Just hire someone to come and do it once a year.

That's the problem with Leaf Filter and their "guarantee" that your gutters won't clog - the gutters don't clog, just the screen over the gutters. If you complain to Leaf Filter, they say the "gutters" are not clogged. Technically that's true, but their product doesn't stop the problem. Don't buy their product.

They've been out to my house for installation and twice since. It still isn't right. Calling them again on Monday. They keep saying nothing is wrong. Overpriced and warranty is only if something gets under guard. The never getting on a ladder again is also a lie. Stay away from leaf filter!!!

Well, I'm not a company but I can say that Leaf Filter is a horrible company. For 8,000 dollars I've had nothing but problems. Liars and scammers. How they can sleep at night is beyond me.

Had the same experience as many others here. Send out a pushy salespeople start high, nock it down a few times and end with a “it’s only good for today closer. Scam artist in my opinion, the owner who is a Northeast Ohio resident should be ashamed of himself for trying to scam elderly people.

How goes warranty with the company? I recently had Leaf filter place on one side of the 2nd story of my house in spring of 2021(wanted to see if they worked as advertised) but because the roof is cement spanish style (scalloped) tile, and I'm 65 with a torn ACL and meniscus on one knee and torn meniscus of other knee and I'm not going up to check on things. Oh, I live in So Cal and don't get frequent rain (if any) but it was leaking between the fascia and gutter with our last rain and company sent someone out to silicone (why didn't they do that anyway initially?) along the 70 feet of gutter guard. Just wondering if they did anything for your failing system?

There is not a product on the market that will retard pine needles. This video is a perfect example of a product that is installed flat on top of the gutter instead of being installed for the continuation of the roof slope, which would help mother nature blowing them off. The purpose of gutters is to collect and carry off excessive rainwater. This system shown greatly restricts the gutters' ability to collect rainwater. Evident by the staining on the face of the gutters. Rigid screening is the best answer for gutters, not some fine mesh product that closes of 90% of your gutter opening. Finally, 5" gutters are the answer for guttering. Notice these 5" gutters really only have about 3" of opening based on being mounted to the Fasci. If you are building a home, use 6" gutters with rigid wire mesh having an opening of 95% to collect water.

Leaf Filter Contractor out of Springfield Mo is a crook. He takes advantage of the elderly over charges and does the bait and switch. You will not get filter you will get a regular knowing they cannot use ladders to check if they got what they paid for. I seen the Leaf Filter commercial on Tv, called Leaf Filter, they sent a Leaf Filter Salesman to the house wearing a Leaf Filter Shirt. They came out and installed a regular gutter. I caught after the last heavy rain and seen water coming out of the sides. I Went up there with a ladder and there was no filter. Even worse after I cleaned the gutter all out it was slanted the wrong way. I fight them over a month to get resolve at the corporates level and then they refused to give the name of the contractor. I had to sluthe his number from the BBB website. Still no resolve and to insult me he offered to come out to install the filter s for another 500 bucks. This unit out of Springfield hires human traffics illegals for his installs. I am frustrated enough trying to update this house to make it safe for my Dad I did not need this head ache from these scammers.

I have crape myrtles around my house and the leaves being small mat down in the steep valleys of my roof. I think they would have no trouble matting down on the horizontal surfaces of these leaf guards. So seeing this video confirms what I thought.

The problem with flat filters like LeafGuard is that you have to keep them swept to avoid the issue shown here. Traditional gutters without filters can accumulate a certain level of debris and keep on draining properly. The flat filters can't, so you pretty much have to sweep after every big storm. Not a very good deal, in my opinion.

The guy who gave me an estimate said a breeze will blow that away. Fyi, I didn’t hire them.

You still need to clean the top, gutter guards are not meant to be zero maintenance, it just reduces your maintenance to half or 1/3rd that's all

It's called Leaf Filter. Do you see any Leaves? It's an insane amount pine pine needles. In this situation no product will keep them from collecting like that. Blow them off occasionally and the Leaf Filter works just fine. They have an insane amount of trees.

Those filters are a rip, but I’d also be concerned about the overhang on those shingles. They were installed with a much too long overhang.

I don't care either way about the product, but having a tree branch damage the cover AND the gutter, then blaming the system for not working is ridiculous.

The Gutter covers need to be maintained by brushing off the debris. A brush on the end of a telescopic pole will do the trick. No need for a ladder.

there's no debri inside your gutters, so how is it a scam? Why can't you get a leafblower and blow that stuff off your gutters while you're up there? common sense isn't so common anymore

As a LeafFilter installer, this installation method is very old and the product they offer today, no longer field assembled and comes assembled from the factory. No extra sealant is used to assemble and the mesh remains tight to the body with no variables of failure. I've been installing for them for 5 years now with 0 call backs. Also, let be noted that this homeowner has a insane amount of pine needles coming down from his 40ft pine trees that are hovering all around the house. It's no shock that he has a issues. I don't think any system would work too well with all those tall pines around.

A lot harder to clean the inside of full gutter than to just blow off the top of a gutter
